First we will head southeast to the Aretine Chianti in the upper Valderno area between Arezzo and Florence. These where horse stables and were later made into cute appartments with the Chianti rufina wine region embracing it. The Medici family was originally from Mugello and had adquired many luxuriously decorated palaces, villa and castles.
